3D cube

I'm trying to create a six surface cube then rotate it in 3D space. I know the whole process of rotating it with parent motion and all that, my problem is the surfaces do not match in size after adjusting them to their various positions and I can't seem to align them as well. From one angle they seem to align, but when I rotate the cube to another angle they're completely misaligned and not even closely touching each other. It's hard for me to explain but you get the idea..... can someone give me some pointers on the best way to do it. Many thanks!

My first thought would be to do this in something like Max or Maya. If anyone knows of a easy way to do this in Vegas, I'd like to know too.

You basically have to do careful math and make sure that all of the sides of the cube are the exact same size, and that their positions exactly correspond. It's better to enter the locations in by hand than to try to position them graphically.

Theres no easy way to do this in Vegas. But like David just said. Youll have to go merely by math because the co-ordinate management isnt so easy as with 3d applications like maya or max. But this has been done before. I remembe doing a 3 sided wall. Youll basically get all the video panels in correct position (which is the most difficult thing by the way), then once you have the positions right youll have to lock the tracks together using parent and child links so that one panel will then have all the other panels locked to it. So the entire bunch of 6 surfaces would become one entity. But also remmember that vegas will choke a lot on this kind of a 3d assembly since its not optimized for too much 3d work. Yes its damn easy to do in max. Just create a cube and assign 6 different maps (avi videos) to each selected surface. Im sure you dont even have to know max in depth to do it. Very easy. The 3d handling will be much better there. There are also some third part independent programs (dont know if its Boris or something) which offer these kind of ready made effects. Some of them even plug into Vegas. But your talking major render times here. Doing this in Vegas.
