3D chart in AE

[mcvideo]

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to produce a 3D chart for a corp video in AE? I know there are plugins out there but i would prefer to do it myself if it will save me 200-500.00 Dollars.

matter of fact i'll take both recommendations for plugins and DIY charts in AE.

thanks!

I suppose you can do it all in AE with layers set in 3D space,

but I'm thinking something like Zaxwerks Invigorator would make it childsplay?

I have never used it but they are running a special on it right now.

Digital Anarchy has a plug-in for animating data sets.

If you're only creating one chart then you could do it with solids in 3D space as Derrick suggested. But if multiple charts with multiple revisions are in order then you probably want a plug-in to speed up the process.

Edit: It doesn't work with Mac CS3.

thanks.. i did come across those links yesterday prior to me posting here. I recall watching a qt tutorial online (i think creative cow series AE ) on how to create a 3d graph chart but could not find it again. Are there any other ideas, tutorial links?

thanks AE users..
