360 degree swivel? Lazy Susan for humans?

I would like to film a 360 degree view of someone rotating around a fixed point. Conceptually, think about a microwave oven, which has the rotating thing inside to put your food on. When you turn on the microwave, the thing spins and you can watch the food spin around through the front window of the microwave.

That's kinda what I'm trying to do. I want to buy/build a fairly simple platform that rotates smoothly with a human standing on top of it. The problem is, I don't even know what search terms to use to find plans to build something like this.

Anyone ever done anything like this? If so, how?

That video shows a circular dolly track shot. The OP was talking about having the actor rotate, not having the camera drive around the actor.

Only if you're talking about the world spinning (Universal Pictures) between seconds 7-8. LOL.

You can actually make one very easily. Get a heavy duty lazy susan or rotating chair bearing from Home Depot, mount a board on both sides and spin. Trouble is without a servo motor the speed will gradually decrease. I have a servo controlled RevPod I have used for this.
