360 degree rotation track

I'm looking for the best way to assemble a 360 degree track in which a camera can spin freely on. I know Indie Snap makes a cheap and light one based on bendable tubing, but I'm not sure if this is the best route to go.

It does have to be fairly light because I'm going to take it all around the world. But it is going to be used on rough terrain sometimes...

Any suggestions?

When you say "spin" do you actually mean "revolve?"

What exactly do you need to do with the track in terms of shots?

.

Yes, revolve would be a better word for it. I need 1 camera to be mounted on the dolly, which moves along a large track set in a 360 degree circle.

Indie-dolly would do it, but it's not particularly light, nor dirt cheap, nor ultra compact! So maybe it won't work for you, but anyway...

The dolly and a complete circle of track would cost about $4000 with shipping. It would transport in 5 cases - one for the dolly and one for each quarter-circle of track. It's a sit-and-ride-on-it deal, if you want. It would do a great job at what you're describing, and it may actually be the least expensive high quality solution.

I've got one with 12' of straight track and one curved track set (1/4 circle). I love it.
