35mm Matte Box needed for 35mm Adapter?

[PunkMetalDrummer17]

As the title says, is it nessecary for a 35mm Matte Box to be used on a 35mm lense/adapter? Now I know it's not nessecary, as in use one or not, but I mean could I use one other than the ones marked as 35mm Matte Boxes.

Man I'm just going to be linking this all day

But of course, you could use a dixie cup if it worked, theres nothing wrong with using 35mm matteboxes, except that they will cost you about 2x what your cameras worth.
