Hey guys just ordered my dvx100b, I feel part of something now like i belongto group unlike highschool. Anyways (wiping the tears off my face) I need to know what 35mm adapter should i get I'm willing to spend the 2 grand and where can i get it and what lenses should i get? like nikon canon or any others any recomendations, I wanna shoot a film and i want it to look as much as film as possble (dont we all) I bought AG-LW7208g lens and the AG-LA700g plus the 2.5x telephoto lens i was so excited when i ordered my DVX i just ordered them without thinking what they did, now if i get the 35 mm adapter and a lense, can i use any of the lenses i bought, with them or id i just spend over a thousand bucks for nothing? thanks?

get the nikon zeiss mount lens. i hear they are great. brevis, m2 or sgpro are the ones i see the most around here... i think the one you could get the quickest is the m2.. the others have a longer turn around time but as i see are also GREAT products. i personally own the m2 and am getting happier with it.. thanks

There is a HUGE forum of 35adpter info in the 35 adapter section of DVXuser. Next Time post there.

The wide angle converter and telephoto converter that you purchased attach to the front of the dvx stock lens. You won't be able to use them with a 35mm adapter as that will be going in front of the lens instead. The only way I could see them being used with a DOF adapter is if you are using it with a film lens that has 72mm threads like the dvx does.

That would go:
DVX->STOCK LENS->35MM ADAPTER->LENS->LENS CONVERTER
It'd be cumbersome and may cause problems with chromatic abberration and barrel distortion or vignetting.

If you're really sold on getting a 35mm adapter though and shooting with that I'd suggest returning or selling those extra lenses and converters.

Or maybe keep them and once you get an adapter see which you prefer using.

Red rock micro M2 adapter. Nikon 50mm f1.4-f1.8 to start with. and then maybe a 35mm f1.8-2.0 or a 28mm with the lowest f-stop you can find.

I think you need to do a lot of reading.

For instance, good lighting will do worlds more for getting a "film look" then any 35mm adapter ever will.

The Letus doesn't take that long to get, does it? I just ordered mine. I think it's a pretty quick turnaround. I do, however, know that the redrock is on a bit of a back order til the middle of August.
