35mm Lens Suggestions

I have a couple DVX's and JVC's HD250's I want to get M2's for. But, I am kind of new in the lens arena and would like any help you all can offer.

These cameras are used primarily to shoot conferences and want to increase the DOF on them. On one of them, I need to push in about 110ft to at least a waist up shot on the speaker. I also need some lenses for much smaller venues (50-75 ft at most). I know this is asking a lot, but what suggestions do you have for lenses?

Thanks!

Might you be talking about FOV (field of view) as opposed to DOF (either depth of field or depth of focus)?

If you are looking to increase the focal length of the camera lens, perhaps a two or three times front mount adapter might do it for you.

If your cameras give you manual control over apreture of course you want the widest (smallest) f number the lens has. Even if this means that you would have to use a neutral density (N.D.) filter to prevent over expouser. I'm sorry if all this is obvious to you, but I don't know how much you know about lenses. And of course if it's possible to put the camera where you want, always use the longest focal length that you can.
