35mm DVX100b Questions

If anyone cares to answer, I have a few questions about my soon to purchase decision of a 35mm converter.

I need an adapter that flips the image so I don't have to do it in post. I need one that I can mount on a DVX100b. It can't leave a noticeable vignette.

I've been researching the Letus line, Redrock, and SG Pro. Should I be looking at any others? What would you recommend me buy? Also, I believe it should be vibrating, but what do you think?

Thanks very much,

James

I think you should read through 10 pages of this forum and make a decision. All of them have their ups and downs.

Look for used Letus Extremes, Redrock M2, Brevis MP1, and Sg Pro. People are trying to get rid of them to upgrade. I saw an M2 for 550$ not to long ago, so if you buy the upgrade to the M2 Encore then its only a few hundred more.

The letus extreme is great at a used price and it flips your image, there is virtually no lightloss, so filming in dark conditions (BUY LIGHTS!) the image is alright.

The redrock M2 is out dated and loses a ton of light, but the 500+ dollar upgrade to the encore is worth it. The sg pro has limited lightloss as well but the new blade looks amazing. The brevis is light effecient to but you need to buy a flip for it.
