35mm cut together with no adaptor

I am shooting a short action trailer with a HVX/Letus, 14mm f2.8 lens and steadycam. Unfortunately the steadycam op owns a support system that can only hold 10 pounds which wont work well with the cam rig. Right now I am contemplating shooting solely with the HVX on the steadycam and cutting the footage with HVX/Letus on sticks/handheld.

The trailer will have a fighting sequence that consist of the two different cam set-ups without cut aways. Keep in mind, the SLR lens is 14mm cut with the HVX zoomed all the way out.

I have one day to test, minus that we are shooting this weekend. Is it possible to pull off?

Sure you can but you might need to lower the detail on the hvx when your using it stock to match the adapter softness and then fix the rest in your color grade. The trick is to get them to look as close as possible color tone wise.

Thanks, your a lifesaver
