35mm and Sony DR FX1

A quick question - I have been searching the boards to see if there is an adapter for sale or by design that works with the Sony HDR FX1 (the prosumer camcorder I use).

This camera has a terrific picture and even some depth of field (around 3-5 feet using manual adjustments and f2.6)...but I was wondering if there were any plans/adapters for sale that didn't involve $8,000. LOL

Any 35mm adapter should work. the only thing you will want to do is make sure your ground glass or focus screen is extremely well done as not to pick up the detail of the ground glass.

Cinemek and Redrock have very good results. You should check out their websites. You can even see some footage shot with their adapters and the FX1. If I were you I would invest a little bit more and buy a good adapter. I have a FX1 too and I tried one of these more afordable adapters...I wasn't please at all. Too soft, a lot lens distortion, weir unatural colors. Take it from me, pay a little bit more and get something GOOD! I sold my cheap adapter a month after I bought it and I'm hoping for the G35 (cinemek) to be release very very soon.
