35mm adaptor for hv20

ITs cool man, im just saying that in order to get clean footage, youre going to need ALOT of light.

BUT, i will tell you this. Being forced to use alot of lights will teach you about lighting faster than anyhtign else, and youre end results will be much better. So have a ball, its going to be fun turning on that first light.

i cant wait ! only i am a student so i wont be placing my order for my letus35 for at least a month... i guess that the only way i'll learn, i am ignorant when it comes to film lighting, so it will be great to try out/ learn/ and see what works :) thanks again. - marty.

When using the HV20 as compared to the XH-A1, there's a very noticeable difference in light sensitivities. I started off playing with adapters using the consumerish GS400 which also wasn't great in low light...and gave up on my own spinners with it due to the lighting issues. If you're not lugging around lights, then you should consider the limitations of natural light and the HV20's less than stellar low light properties. The light efficiency issue was the major motivation in developing our CF1 and CF1L imaging elements. 1 stop in light loss gained means you only need half the lighting you would need otherwise.

This is Phil Bloom's work using natural light with the Brevis/HVX with our CF1 imaging element.

The HV20/Brevis in very good light (CF1)...and a few pics of the rig. We've also had some fun with the unit off the rails.

Cheers :-)

Nice to see that Dennis of Brevis is actually active on this forum. I wish he was as active in answering his sales emails. I've been waiting well over a week for a response, including two follow up emails. It's been like pulling teeth.

Up until a few days ago, the Brevis was at the top of my list. Unfortunately, if they can't answer simple sales questions, what's going to happen when I actually purchase the product and have tech support questions??? Good customer service is as equally important to me as the product itself.

As a result, I'm now leaning towards the M2. They have been extremely responsive and detailed oriented in their emails. Most people who have purchased from them also seem to be pretty happy with their product.

Hopefully Dennis/Brevis get their act together before they continue to lose more customers like me.
