Hi,

I'm wondering if people have any views on using a 35mm adapter with the DVX100A. I'm shooting a feature and wondering whether an adapter will improve the look by much. Also if you do shoot using an adapter, what is the best way, is it to leterbox?

Thanks.

With the right adapter, proper knowledge about how to use it and set it up, a good range of fast lenses, TONS of lights, a high-resolution production monitor, and a person to pull focus, you can acheive great results.

You can either shoot letterbox or squeeze, whatever your workflow preference.

Suffice it to say, using a 35mm adapter opens a whole new can of worms. Everything takes more time, more money, and more skill, but I think it's totally worth it. I Just shot my first short for TIMEFEST using my DIY 35mm adapter, and I love the look and will never go back to non-adapter shooting for anything other than run-n-gun documentary work. (I have dvx100B)
