Thank you! I love this forum because so many people help so many other people. Comments such as yours just encourage people to keep answering questions and adding information to this forum.

I'm going to build another adapter this weekend and I will try and do a better tutorial. There are still many options with many experiments going on regarding a DIY adapter. Posting those experiments helps everyone, it's like we're working as a team.

Oh I noticed some distortion on the sides of the frame in the "fast movement test" with the aol screen. Is that same effect seen when using the Nikon screen (and where can one get one of these screens)?
Sorry but more questions, did you support the adaptor with rails or is it just held on by the filter threads?

Not sure yet about the side distortion. I'm still doing a lot of experimentation.

I made my own support to support the lens.
 
drummer07 the 58mm adaptor ring will not fit around the 2 inch pipe. The opening in the middle of the filter is smaller than that of the 72mm ring.
 
Quick question. People say that the red dot d-screen is brighter than the original d screen. Now in viewing the video I'd say while the AOL case gives a deeper DOF, it seems just slightly brighter...were you using the regular d screen or the red dot version?

Thanks so much for posting those videos!! I watched them yesterday several times, along with your footage to get a better understanding of the process as I begin myself. I've got most of the pieces ordered and have finally found a DVD case to use (Office for OSX that I was given... looks like Microsoft will finally be useful to me). Now must (im)patiently wait for eBay goods to arrive (I empathize with your postings in the previous 35mm thread, as to having to wait for things to arrive when you're geared up to work on a project). As it is, Home Despot was OUT of the black Nibco caps last night and now I have to find a Lowes or HD some where else GRRRRRRR. As it is need to go there for a cheapo Boom Pole...

The comparison of the two GGs - AOL Case v. Nikon D - blew me away! The AOL Case looks really clean and nice, without the vignetting of the Nikon D. Just saw one Nikon D go on eBay for $90!!! I thought I nearly had one but the camera store I went to had every other letter BUT D.

Which reminds me that I wanted to ask you: do you need a 'compressor' with the AOL DVD screen? It seems like it gets wonderful light without any hotspots.
