I use the RedRock M2 adapter. Looking to purchase or rent a carl zeiss 50mm super speed lens if anyone has seen, or heard of a place in Maryland to purchase one.

wasn't there supposed to be shoot out review... or something for those still on the fence.... I've ruled out the Redrock as an option and leaning towards the SGpro or the Brevis. Just seems to be the most bang for your buck.. with the most options.

Shootout and review would be really cool..... hope it hapens. I need to get a setup for a proj in the summer. Review on Still lens would be great too. I'm a canon guy but I'll be buying some Nikon lenses for this adapter thing..

Yeah, I have watched a few of your stuff in the screen grabs section. Quite nice.

I figured since 'Illegal', which was shot beautifully with the M2, was so well recieved here that it would have the larger user base. But it looks like many people are looking at the Brevis. Is it because of the light loss?
Thank you very much. :)

I fell for the Brevis because of the carbon fibre body being from a mountain bike racing background. I love the look of carbon fibre, my watch has a carbon fibre face. A very nice gift from my girlfriend.

Other than that I took a chance as a beta user because Dennis was so on top of what he was doing with his original tests and research. I followed what he was doing for a while before submitting for a beta user. He is always developing and improving on his design whereas some of the others have seem to sit in comfort zone for a while and just take in the money. My loyalty to him will be forever and he has treated me just as loyal.

Thanks Timur! :) That was weird seeing you the other night. Adam was like, hey theres Timur and I thought he was talking about the bus stop poster. I looked and thought that doesnt look like Timur...

I chose the M2 from the great response I received from their online support, and from the different shots I've seen comparing Brevis, M2 and SgPro footage. i felt the Bokeh on the M2 looked more pronounced (which is what I personally prefer), and the general look of the footage seemed more "Filmlike" to MY eyes. As always YMMV.

Thanks so much for the kind words guys :-) Hez, after the behind the scenes shots, I'm looking forward to some footage from "CREW".

The great support we've enjoyed has contributed to a concerted R&D loop, fed largely from user feedback/wants/needs. Even our logo was a collaborative effort on the part of Brevis users. It's a cool vibe from this vantage point.

Dennis, I'm planning to buy a adapter. I was wondering how shots match if you use the HVX with and without the adapter. I going to do a docmantary but can't use the adapter all te time.If shots are difficult to match, what to do in post or pre precautions ?

Thanks

is this what the actual brevis adapter looks like? http://www.cinevate.com/catalog/images/bundle.jpg

is that the only extension that would be on the HVX while filming in addition to the nikon lenses? i've seen the footage but not the actual setup....is it bulky? can you run and gun with the brevis?

anybody have any behind the scenes photos of how much gear will be added to the camera when its time to film?

Bahahahhaa!

Yea i saw Adam through the Glass of the bus stop, then i saw, the other kid from the other shoot, the ni saw, you! i was like yo the gang is all here!

Dolph, Richard Darge just did another episode of his "Moonshine" web series (search for it here) with the Brevis/CF3 imaging element, and also the bare HVX. You may want to post that question there...but from what I've seen, intercutting footage is not a problem.

FB, you'll find a lot of HVX pics/rigs etc. over at our support forum.
