long time reader...first time posting. I am serious about this one...

I'm hopping on an airplane next week, from Hawaii to San Francisco. I want to bring my 35mm adapter with me to do some work. For those who don't know this device, may, and chances are good, that it almost looks like a BOMB...oooppss did I say that on a plane? You know, wires inside a box, 9volt battery, something spinning...hhmmm? You folks get the picture.

Anyone encountered this, possibly nightmarish, situation? Any suggestions on getting my 35mm adapter on an airplane? Check in or carry on. Imagine explaing this device to the authorities. So seriously...anyone traveled with the 35mm adapter on an airplane. Thanks in advance...

Definitely carry on.
I've brought my sgpro and hvx onto multiple planes through carry on in pelican cases.

I've carried a Letus35 Flip on a plane no problem. When it is packed with a camera, they just assume it is camera related. No one has even asked what it was before. Kind of makes you wonder.

As Matty said, carry on only in a nice hard case... unless you don't like your 35mm adapter in one piece, in which case, check the bag ;)
