Hi, im building a 35mm adapter and i ordered a 58mm +10 macro but got a 50mm macro with a 58mm outer ring, the reason i ask if i can use this on a canon xh-a1 is because my camera has'nt arrived yet so i cant check for myself.. i tried to search many forums for an answer but i didnt find any. So the main question is; can i use a 50mm +10 macro or do i have to have a 58mm +10 macro?

Hi t-unit,

the XH-A1 has a 72mm filter thread. So you will need a step-down ring from 72mm to 58mm for your achromat. For better quality in HDV you should buy a bigger achromat 72mm.

best regards
Daniel

thanx for a quick answer! i have a step down ring, but the macro is only 50mm so i was afraid the macro was to little to fill the screen. but im gonna order a 72mm macro for the best picture.

thats the one yes, im gonna test the setup first, and if it works fine i'll build a better version with a achromat.
