You'll say it too Blackhawk.

One day some ass **** 16 year old girl will be re-recording some song from the White Stripes one day and you'll be asking "What in Sam Hain" ?

C.H.I.P.S. 2006'

That's my guess. Staring Benicio Del Toro and Dennis Quaid. They are shooting for that *hard edgy* look this time around.

This is exactly how I felt with the dukes of hazzard movie. I loved the show but refuse to see the movie. Some things are too sacred.
I think a better gilligan would be that goofy kid from "The New Guy" http://imdb.com/name/nm0702809/

I dont like him and that picture looks wierd on imdb but he is tall, lanky, and goofy looking. I dont know how well he could play the part though. Just looks better than adam sandler doing the part though.

I agree that nearly every remake has completely sucked, and personally I would never drop the cash to see any of them.

I would like to see them remake 'Silver Spoons' with that pie humper though. He'd be funny riding on that train... Damnit, why don't I have a train in my house?

i would love to see them do Mr. Belvedere. lol. i'm trying to think of a fat english men who can play the part though.

Bzzzzzzzzt! Need to go back further and get Clifton Webb. Well....since he's been dead since 1966, they'd have to get someone like him.

David, David, David..........

You're a child of the 70's........

Well, I was around for the '70s. I watched "Gilligan's Island" and "The Brady Bunch" and "Batman" every day after school (until "Voltron" and "The Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" and "He-Man" came along, of course).

Didn't bat an eye when "The Brady Bunch" was remade. Don't see why I should for "Gilligan's Island."

I mean, the larger issue of all these ridiculous remakes is one thing, and it applies to all . . . but any one series? Naaahhh.

Hell, this is a pretty sure bet for the studios. They feel comfortable doing it. I totally understand it and Sandler is a very bankable star.

Look on the bright side, it keeps those of you who are skilled craftsmen in the business busy and working. Production is production.

I say GREAT!

It's sad to see the blanket acceptance of the complete lack of creativity or originality currently infecting "Hollywood".

It's even sadder to see the likes of Sandler described anywhere as a "very bankable star".

well...i dont really care...but you shuld be the one caring..thats if you care about how old people think you are....if you say whippersnapper...your and old person....you dont see 40 - 50 year olds saying whippersnapper...only like 70+ year olds.
So in this case...Terry....YES! I do prefer it.

Hard edgy look my ass, no matter how you remake CHIPS, there is no way they are going to draw their guns, EVER. If they did, then it would linger away from the source material. LOL.

I really hate do-overs! Some films should stay as classics and no be remade, that goes for tv shows as well.

It will make a bizzillion dollars. That is all that matters to Hollywood and the Wall Street cronies that control the majority of our media. The issue here is that anyone is surprised that this will happen.

natob2 has a pretty good point. If people will buy it, somebody will sell it. I can't blame them for trying. But the problem is major studios keep putting stuff like this out there and saying, "Why aren't people coming to the theaters?"

I may have a great idea. I may be able to get ahold of some monkeys and some peanut butter-- Lancelot Link Is anybody with me? We'll get George Clooney and Brad Pitt...heck the whole Ocean's 12 crowd. We're gonna make a mint on this!
