Hey everyone,

I think this is the right place to post polls that are generally off topic (I should know these things for certain by now... hmm).

I'm just curious about who uses the 30p and the reasons they do. I personally am quite fond of 30p for some strange reason... I'm not sure why. I've even thought about shooting some cinematic type things in 30p instead of 24p (yes I know, sacrilege!)

Thoughts, comments, bashings ;) ?

First in!

I used 30P on my first project with the DVX, mostly because I hadn't upgraded to FCP 4 yet and so couldn't handle any pulldown. I would use it again, for non-film projects. I have to produce short docs and interviews all the time, and might well use it in those situations.

Seems no one detests 30p which I find interesting. It seems I am the only one who is crazy enough to prefer 30p to 24p though! I guess I'm just weird.

Well I impulsively hit "never" but that's not correct. I use it only when doing timelapses and if there is something fairly static in low light I'll use it in combination with an ultra-slow shutter speed.
