30p workflow

Hi

I've been getting conflicting reports
about how to properly handle 30p workflow.



I'm noticing that 30p in a 29.97 timeline has odd interlaced frames...

I saw the posting by noah on this a few days ago
that no pulldown is needed.
but when i set sequence settings to progressive,
I am still getting 2 interlaced frames for every 3 clear progressive.

any ideas?
