I did something stupid. I edited a whole project in a 30p timeline, imported it at 30p, and the footage was 24p. The interlacing is occasionally noticeable, but I'll just have to deal with it, and it's only something that looks odd to someone that knows this stuff, it seems. Even our DP doesn't take much notice.
However, the camera was bumped to 30p for a few shots in a specific scene. They looks awful. It just looks like lousy home video footage, and doesn't match well with the movement of the shots around it. It's maybe 5 2-5 second shots. I'd like to convert them. I've heard convertion 30p to 24p for a 24p timeline doesn't yield good results, but I figured for a 30p timeline, which is already a screw up, it might be worth a try?
