30p (Progressive in Premier Pro)?

Hello, I shot a bunch of footage in 30p with my Panasonic ag-dvx100b. I thought premier pro supported this. After all, it's the highest quality picture you can get when avoiding interlaced footage am I right? (apart from the cine-like 24p or 24pa)? Do I use the "Desktop" setting on premier to set up 30p progressive?
How have others dealt with this?

Thanks!
Brett

Yes, you can use the "Desktop" settings. Pay attention to the PAR (Pixel Aspect Ratio) either .9 / 1.2 for NTSC, or 1.067 / 1.422 for PAL, you will also need to set the frame size (720 x 480 NTSC, 720 x 576 PAL).

Brett,

You can choose any appropriate preset project timeline (e.g., DV NTSC Widescreen), but change the Field Order setting to Progressive (No Fields) when setting up the project. Also, make sure the same fields setting is used when doing an Export/Movie.

Yeah in Premiere 2 you can only use desktop editing and change the fields to No fields. You can only change the field order to lower and upper when you wanna view it on a monitor. For some reason when Adobe went from 1.5 to 2.0 this feature disappeared.
