30p preset/export problem

I've noticed there is no preset in CS3 for 30p so I'm curious as to what my proper settings should be?
Also when I export my 16:9 footage as a .avi file is gets squeezed to 4:3 and I can't seem to figure out whats going on. I've searched the net endlessly and haven't found anything thats helped...any ideas? Cheers.

Hi,

You don't mention what kind of footage you have (SD or HD), but at least the 30P suggests that you are in NTSC land, so I suppose I can infer that you need to create an NTSC preset based on either a SD or HD project, and if it was HD, it would already be wide screen, so likely it is SD.

You can create your own preset using the Custom Setting.

Save the preset, it should appear the next time you open Premiere.

You can do this with a variety of CODECs and capture devices, too.

Sorry, its all dvcprohd footage and I created a 30p project for it and it seems that I got it right but I was confused over the drop/none drop frame timecode options. Even tho its a 16:9 project its still exporting my .avi's as 4:3 tho which is leaving me a little confused.
