30p in 60i workspace?

Can I do this? I need to use some 30p dvcpro50 footage in a standard 4:3 NTSC workspace. When I try to use it, it sees the clip framerate as 23 or so fps... and the clip doesn't play at the correct speed. Would it work better to setup a custom 30p workspace and import the 60i into that?

I don't think the preset actually differentiate 60i and 30p. The only factor involved would just be the frame per seconds setting. The standard 4:3 NTSC 29.97 preset should work fine.
 
yeah, that's always been my experience, but for some reason these 30p clips didn't get interpreted correctly, then I was having trouble getting the timebase accurate. Maybe I accidentally shot those clips in 24p...
