I am attempting to write a 30 page script tonight....

any bets on whether I will die trying?

10:58pm Eastern Standard Time..

gonna need a whole lot of coffee..

and I am not telling what it is about in this post...cause I want to entice people to reply..muahaha..

somehow I don't think the plan will work...

off to brew some coffee..

I've done it, but only when I am monumentally inspired. Sometimes things just come together. The key is not to worry too much about how good it is. Great scripts don't come from the writing, but the re-writing. Don't stop the muse when she's singing. Just go for the ride and clean up the mess later.

30 pages is the general length I was given..

It could be used in a show if liked.. I am not holding my breath.. but I will attempt to pound out my idea onto paper as best I can

I wrote every single one of my papers in college -- most 20+ pages -- starting at midnight the night before it was due.

No sweat . . . 8)

You'll never make it without a pack of cigarettes. If you don't smoke, it's as good a time as any to start!

Are you using a screenplay formatting program? Screenplay Systems stuff takes quite a bit of time off when you're writing in a hurry.

Write all the dialogue first. Then go back and put in the action . . .

Or is it the other way around . . . hmmm . . .

Oooh, I highly recommend scrrenwriting software. I use Final Draft and it saves me a ton of time. So much so that I am able to check in here instead of finishing the rewrite I am supposed to be doing.

oh it will happen..

I have the beginning.. (1 page...) and the ending (1 page..)

now all I need it the 28 other pages of filler ;)

I have Final Draft so no worries with the software... no if I only had an idea how my story ends up on that last page...lol

I will probably fall asleep mid way through..

onwards to the crusades!

getting.. so.. very.. very.. tired...

running out of... good ideas... starting to crumble under own crummy story telling weight.

Don't hit the caffeine too hard. As a veteran of all-night paper writing, I can tell you it does more harm than good.
