so yes..tomorrow we are shooting 3 actors..with 3 wireless lavs..we will be using a boom as well..i got a 3 channel mixer..(the one i just got PSC DV 3) my first time using it..how should we do this? we might be using 2 DVXs...for better coverage.

if it written text , mix 2 wireless to one channel and the 3rd mike to the other , open and close the mikes with the dialog ( No need to close individual if you sure theu will not automaticly mix to mono in editing , since sh.. happens).
or you can hook the boom directly to the camera and mix all 3 to one channel , if you dont have written text - god help you:-)
put the wireless that they will be be open one third of what you intend to go maximum level , try to feel the dialog and open them to the normal level when the actors speak , then decrease when someone else catch his place , that what we regularly do on documentary , dont stay with completely open mikes all the time ,it would might cause out phase problems and bad mono track .

In the future don't walk on a set with equipment that has not been thoroughly tested beforehand. Sitting around trying to figure out if what you are doing will work while everyone stands around will kill your schedule and your crew's confidence. Worse yet you don't find out you made a miscalculation until you are listening to dailies.

The issue with multi camera shoots is shooting wide and CU at same time. If you are doing CU coverage on different actors, no problem but it is a very common mistake audio-wise to shoot wide and CU at same time.
