in a time of panic, happiness, choas, and running to take out loans, i would just like to pronounce my love for what will be my format for(ever) or atleast the next several years.

standard definition, twenty four frames per second digital video, i love you.
 
SD 24p is pretty damn nice though and very, very viable for a good while still. There really isn't a need for many people to go HD right now. I'm diggin the HVX but I'm hanging on to my DVX too (until I decide to move up). It's one hell of a camera :)!
 
i realized today after i shot for a short, how amazing it really is, and it quelled all my hvx panicing. i love this camera and have not a big desire to move up yet.
 
Seriously. I just shot a short for a friend of mine, and I was really happy with how the footage turned out. The DVX is a *great* cam!
