3 point lighting, is always the best solution?

How do you light your scenes?
I mean, always with 3 point lighting technique? Is there not the risk to light too much the scene?
How could you create darkness in a room? With how many lights?

what do you mean with ratio? light intensity or something else?

The ratio between fill and key and, to some extent, backlight. The relationship between your fill and key are the most vital, while the backlight serves to bring depth and make your images pop with dimensionality.

very clear! :dankk2:
I think ratio is my problem... how could I manage it?
I've got this light kit http://www.adcom.it/visrecord.php?id=8207 (wrote in italian, but I think you could understand with the pictures: just click on the links)...
Am I suppose to use the fresnel as keylight or the redhead? Or should I play with the wattage?

Your call. Depends on the scene and the look you want.

I would suggest putting all three lighs on separate dimmers and dimming each one and watching the look on a monitor. Lighting is often not what lights you put on the subject, but what light you take off.

dimmers are ok but colour temperature will drop , nd filters are good but they result in colour loss too but wif diffusers the light will spread apart and u gotta cut loadsa spill light , use fresnel for key and backlight .
