3 HVXs in studio? What Switcher? What Capture Card?

Update.

I went to the Apple/Panasonic/ProMax Seminar at Cal State Los Angeles today and got to see multiple HVX200s in action connected to their 17" LCD monitor via component. It looked really nice.

For what it is worth. The room was on the dark side and I could discern some mosquitoe noise in the shadows and darker/underlit objects. I had to be about 8 to 10" from the monitor to see it. I would never light a scene this way (basically flat and under lit) so I do not think it will be a problem for me. Others doing more dramatic work will probably have to light things a little hotter than they are used too.

Unfortunately, No one had any solutions for a low end HD switcher. They all said try NAB in April. Bummer.

assuming you can monitor sd while shooting hd to P2(or dv50) why not use your current switcher set-up to create a proxy edit that you could use to match your source footage to in final cut. Using the multicam mode in final cut would accomplish what you want for a lot less cost than new switcher etc. The only limitation would be the ability to go out live, but I don't think that is an issue for you.
