3:2 pulldown removal in post or... ?

For a DSLR HDMI to post workflow:
What are the pros and cons of having a recorder like the Samurai do 3:2 pulldown on the fly, compared to removing pulldown in P Pro? Time/convenience will be one issue no doubt: how time consuming is it to do in post? Gotchas? And what, if any, qualitative differences are there?

What's your reasoning for wanting pulldown? Is it for TV? If it's a movie, keep it at 24 the whole time, and lay it to the DVD at 24. DVD players will take care of the pulldown themselves
