I have this project i shot moslty in 24p adv; however some of the photage was accidently shot on 29.970. I noticed when i watch my finished project all the photage shot in 29.970 looks odd ( the movement especailly). I know i probaly should not be putting photage shot in 29.970 on a 24p timeline but is there any way to improve the movement/photage shot in 29.970 so it doenst look like the clip is missing frames. Is there a way to change the setting on the timeline to 29.970 photage just over the photage shot in 29.970 while not affecting the photage shot in 24p adv.

I apologize if what i wrote does not make sense. Any help will be appreciated.

First, was it accidentally shot in 60i or in 30p?

30p may be more problematic.

In any case, assuming it's 60i and not 24p, right-click on your 29.97 clips and choose "disable resample." In your project settings, choose under "deinterlace method" either "blend fields" (if the 29.97 footage has little motion) or "interpolate fields" (if it has a lot of motion).

If it's 30p, disable resample, but do not choose a deinterlace method. 30p is the hardest conversion to 24p, so the results may not be spectacular.

I tried disable resample and it worked great. Under my project settings i had blend fields, if i change it to interpolate fields would that by chance affect the photage shot in 24p adv.

Thank you David you are helping me out a ton today.

If you were only working with 24p clips, the deinterlace method should always be "none." You should only change it if you need to deinterlace non-progressive footage.
