29.97 or 30FPS for web?

If I have footage that was shot on DV 29.97 but my presentation format is web, should my final video be 29.97 or swtiched to 30FPS?

If I should be changing it to 30FPS should I be interpretting the 29.97 footage as 30 or should I just drop it into a 30FPS timeline so that it renders and interpolates frames?

Using 29.97 vs. 30 will not make a hill of beans of difference. Using 24 fps (or 23.97 whatever) will have a 18% data size savings just by the different frame rate alone.

However, if you material was shot at 29.97 in the first place, going to the slower frame rate will perhaps introduce artifacts, so, leave it at 29.97.

Alternatively, buy a PAL camera and shoot at 25 fps... and what's more, get more resolution with more horizontal scan lines...

If you are shooting HD, and the camera supports it, shoot at 24 fps in the first place.

Most of the time I am shooting DV 24PA which is perfect for the web but I was just curious about NTSC frame rates and if a regular computer is better suited for 30P or if it can playback 29.97 just the same (in which case I will leave it as 29.97 as you mentioned since there is no point of interporlating frames)
