Has anyone used the Canon 28-70 f2.8 L ? I have never heard of it until this past week and there isnt much info online other that its a few years old. It is $350 which is a hell of a lot cheaper than the 24-70 and Id rather save some cash if possible. Thanks
 
It's significantly worse than the 24-70 version 1... Only thing that made it somewhat useful was the macro function. We have one at the studio, but I wouldn't pick it up unless both our 24-70 are out and the local rental house didn't have any 24-70 for rent :)
Don't waste your money.
