$25K to spend on camera package

A friend (that i work with often) is looking to spend $25k on camera package. So far we were shooting with 7D and photo lenses. What camera package would you suggest?

Any cool camera i'm not aware of on the market in this price range?

Do you or 'your friend' (lol) have accessories from previous camera packages? Such as a good MB, FF, etc? That adds up quickly.

:)

Af100, AJA Ki Mini, Canon Lens mount, Arri Follow Focus, Arri Matte Box, plus the rails and stuff to hold it together seems like a kick ass package to me.

how about this:
Canon 7D (or some other DSLR) - $1.6
7x Zaiss set - $24
follow focus - cinevate or Arri - $1.2-1.8
rails - $1
matte box - arri - $1.5
filters - about filters 4x5 (ND6, ND9, Streak 2mm, streak 3mm, back promixt 1/2 - $.9
monitor - smallHD $.9
extras $1

TOTAL about $32k

You didn't mention what you guys shoot. Commercial work? Trying to bust out a feature? Documentaries? I'd personal never drop any money into a camera. I can rent a hell of a lot of stuff for $25K.

Small to mid range commercials.

For big jobs (with big crews) we get bigger gear but i need a "small"package that can be ran by an AC + intern.

The sony is the one IMO

but dont know about lens options - they need a nikon adapter

else Af100 + GH2

The only advantage of a DSLR is that as the body becomes 'last years' you dont take too much of a hit when you try and upgrade - the AF100 could be a depreciator

I say this hundreds of times

fully account what you are going to spend on stuff you dont want to buy but must, spare media, lav mics , spare cables, batts batts batts , tripod plates for everything, grown up sticks from satchler or vinten (or miller) even a spare camera of some nature

And if are thinking of DSLR dont think a TascamDr100 or Zoom H4n is going the miles - you need a solid sound recorder
