$250 - Looking for writer to wtite 10 page script bassed on some vague ideas

Sounds like you have the story written in your head. Why not put ink to paper?

It's just as hard to make a 10-page story great as it is to make a 150-page story great. Too many people think 'Aw, shorts are easy. It's only 10 pages.' Great writing is both a skill and an art.
The #1 Rule for a good producer is "Always hire the best, most talented, most experienced person you can afford for every role, both in front of and behind the camera." I'm guessing the OP knows he isn't the best writer he can afford.

Shorts are hard. And something like sideways or adaptation in ~10 pages...
That said I would recommend that you start by writing the script yourself or at least an in-depth treatment. Then bring a writer in.
I get the feeling you want your idea (even if you haven't got it yet), but better. If you ask a writer that's within your budget to write a script you'll get their script and still won't be satisfied. "I know it when I see it" is a real stretch to get a winner first go. You will need to have the idea or else you will get what you get.
For $250 you have to ask yourself how many times the writer will be prepared to rewrite to spec, and if you withhold payment the bad blood isn't going to be worth it. If you write a script and get a writer to make it good then you've got the best chance of getting what you want. You will both be on the same page and it will be easy to discuss it in development.
For reference I consider myself to be a fairly fast writer. I can write a page an hour in draft mode. To get a 12-page script to first or second revision I would expect to take around 30 hours, not including research. And this is the point I would be ready to present it for consideration...not final copy.
I might be interested but I need to see how the next week or two pans out before I can be sure if I can make the time commitment. Feel free to PM me any details, ideas, specs or even better a treatment. It might just make me bite.
