24pA problem with rendering...

Ok, I filmed a wedding last weekend with two DVX cameras, one was a DVX100a, the other was a DVX100b. I recorded both in 24pa mode, and I captured them in FCP using the pulldown removal setting. However when I try to drag clips from both cameras into the timeline, one or the other always comes up unrendered. I have changed the sequence settings so many times!!! I can't figure out what setting my sequence needs to be set at in order that both clips can be dragged to the same timeline without having to render it everytime. help!!!!
 
I looked at the vid rate for each clip in the logging bin, and I think I found my answer. The majority of the footage obtained by the DVX100a captured in 23.98, however the majority of the footage captured by the DVX100b was captured in 29.97. But, some clips from the dvx100a did capture in 29.97, and some of the dvx100b captured in 23.98.
Why did some of the clips from the same camera capture at different rates?
 
Time code breaks cause this, at least that was my problem I had to look for every time code break and capture footage up to that point etc...
