Ok, so I decided I was going to edit 24p this time, so I shot 24pA. I captured it 29.97 and got everything in the computer, but I forgot to check "remove pulldown"!

So, not Im not sure what to do? can I remove the pull down after i edit? do I need to recapture everything? is there anything wrong with just editing my 24pA footage in the normal 29.97 timeline?

any advice appreciated :)
 
Yes, editing the 24pa footage without removing pulldown on a 29.97 timeline is bad as your pulldown cadence is still there (2:3:3:2 - which was not meant for finalization - its too stroby).

Luckily in FCP, you can select those clips and under the tools option, just select remove advanced pulldown (i think its tools, i'm not in front of my editing machine now, just look for the remove advanced pullldown option along your options).

Its as easy as that. Hope this helps.
