Hi all. I am editing a feature shot on the DVX100 is 24pa mode. When I capture, I put my settings to 23.98 remove 3:2:2:3 pulldown, firewire NDF etc. Then I click the remove advanced pulldown checkbox.

All resulting clips end up 29.97. I just can't seem to get them as 23.98.

Using the tools - remove advanced pulldown results in ERROR no clips with advanced pulldown were found.

Could it be the NON-DVX camera I am using to capture.l

Does anyone have a simple tutorial with screenshots ANYWHERE?

Thanks all for you help!!!!

Re: 24pa not capturing as 23.98

Thanks. I took the tape to an Apple store and put the settings exactly the same and captured on a GL2 that they had set up. It worked. So the settings are identical at my studio and the Apple store. Only difference is the camera used to capture.

My XL1 is out for repairs and I won't get it for a week. Does anyone know if that will work to capture 24pa from?

Thanks for the link. :)

Re: 24pa not capturing as 23.98

Most mid to high level cameras should be able to be used for capturing. Lowest price models seem to be somewhat iffy. Very dependent on how well timecode is supported.

Re: 24pa not capturing as 23.98

I just did a big post on the apple boards about the same problem I was having. Check it out over there. Basically the issue was that there was a timecode break in my tape, and so fCP freaked and recorded it as 29.97 every time, just like you.

hope that helps.
