24PA footage but one capture reads 29.97

I just captured my daughters wedding. Every thing was shot in 24PA. All clips captured except the last one read 23.98 in the properties but the last one which was part of the last capture reads 29.98. This last capture was stopped due to a cadence break spliting it into two clips. The remaining capture is as I said 29.98. I hope this makes sense. I just checked the camera and it is still on 24PA. The camera was not turned off. Pulling this capture on time line requires rendering unless I put it into the 29.98 setting. ANY IDEAS?

If there's a cadence or timecode break then FCP bails. You need to start the capture after the break and before the next break for FCP to do the right thing. Can you recapture a second or two later and then stop capture a second or two before the break?

I tried the tools but the remove advance pulldown is greyed out. I will try recapture tomorrow. I had alot of broken cadence clips but they all show ok except the most important one, the ceramony. Go figure. I thought it was because of turning on and off the camera but this clip the camera was on continiously. I won't sleep well tonight wondering why?

What is really strange is it looked ok in the 29.98 time line

I might be to tired to notice but it seemed to be in sync and play ok. I am recapturing right now and it is removing the pulldown but the cadence break is really bugging me. It is right in the middle of an important part.

Play that section back in camera to check the recorded fps setting. (Turn on all info)
Check time code at start and end as well,
Try capturing just a few seconds in the middle of the take to see what if that works.

I was able to recapture directly after the break

I was able to recapture directly after the break

I was able to recapter directly after the break. Thanks for your help. Is this usually caused by dirty heads? I was wondering if any one strips thier tapes and if that might fix the cause of time code breaks. I clearly see a glitch when playing the tape in the camera. I did get the red x symbol a couple of times that day.

I have found that if you recorded in 24pA and the quicktime clip is reading as 29.97, it's usually because it's the last clip on the tape and you captured some of the blank tape at the end. To fix this, open in quicktime pro and trim off a few frames off the end and simply save the clip. All should be cool then.

I was able to recapture.

The glitch lasted for 17 frames. I cleaned the heads, recaptured and it completed. The video glitch was in 25 percent of the picture and lasted for 17 frames. Must have been caused by dirty heads. The camera hasn't been used all that much.
