24PA, FCP, and DVRack

Hello, folks:

This one has me stumped. I've been using DVRack to capture footage from my DVX-100A, with the 100A set in 24PA mode.

The QuickTime files which are coming from the DVRack software are showing as 29.97fps. When I select them and choose "Tools->Remove Advanced Pulldown" FCP responds with an error message "No clips found with advanced pulldown."

Any thoughts on why this is?

Capturing the same footage from miniDV tapes with "Remove Advanced Pulldown" selected in the capture presets works fine. So what gives?

Re: 24PA, FCP, and DVRack

Footage from the DV100 will always be listed as 29.97 since it is until pulldown removal. I think there is a 24pa marker recorded with the footage. If that's the case the info may not be saved by DVRack.

Re: 24PA, FCP, and DVRack

The flags are definitely saved by DV Rack, I've imported those clips into Vegas and it has successfully removed the 24PA pulldown. So, I don't know why it's not working for you, but the flags ARE included in the file, so there must be some other reason...
