24PA and 24P in same sequence

Hey guys going a bit crazy here. I am finishing up my feature STASH and have run into a bit of a problem. I shot about 95% of the movie in 24PA mode and the other 10% in 24P normal. I removed the pull down on the 24PA footage on Import and captured it at 29.97fps, as advised on KenStone.net The footage looks and works great on the 23.98 sequence. The problem with the 24P normal footage is it's at 29.97fps. How do I edit these two together on my 23.98 sequence that pretty much the entire movie is cut together on. I thought about dumping it out onto tape via firewire and loading it back in and editing on a 29.97 sequence, so the other footage could be edited along with it. I'm not planning on a filmout at this point so I thought it might work?

It is... very easy process...

Just make sure you AVOID using "conform to" will mess you up completely!!

Good luck,

Ok I tried Conform to....lol before I saw your post. It made the frame rate work, but the audio was slowed down. What other method should I use, and how do I keep from it effecting my audio?

What I didn't add... (I assumed you'd read the article) was to make sure you duplicate the captured clip before you do anything.

Now I believe you must re-capture. What you did was destructive... not undo-able.

Sorry.

Thanks guys I copied my clips, but the I'm having trouble getting the audio synced up just right. I'll keep trying. Didn't see the WARNING part on that link somehow!
