Hey all,

Trying to figure something out...

I understand if you are going back to film you must shoot 24PA...

But what are the other advantages of shooting 24 PA rather than shooting 24p?

24PA and captured ... 23.98 and the anamorphic pulldown.
versus 24P and capture at the regular NTSC capture preset.

What are the visual difference? Any fraying, colors?

you don't HAVE to shoot 24pa for film out- either process will work (according to dvfilm.com its just recommended).

From what I have found 24p norm is good if you are going to tape and it looks slightly less stroby on interlaced TV. 24pa is best for creating a 24p DVD, which is the same fashion 'Hollywood' authors their DVDs.

I would stay 24pa: best for film out. Or if after you get the quote for the film out (and pick yourself back up) you can go to 24p DVD.

24 P DVD?
How do you make a 24 P dvd? Is that mpeg2 or Quicktime?

23.98 sequence Output to mpeg2? Isn't mpeg2 29.97? Yes or no?
