24p vs 24pa

Hey folks,
If 99% of your projects are going to end up on DVD, would you shoot 24p or 24pa. What are really the difference between the two? I know the pulldown is different with the 24pa.

The differences between the two would happen to be the most-discussed DVX question ever (perhaps even moreso than "what's that click?") Search for the answers, you'll find encyclopedias of info on it.

For a DVD, if you're making a 24P DVD, use 24PA. If you're not making a 24P DVD, or your editing system doesn't allow true 24P editing, then use 24PN.

DANG Barry,
I thought when I saw your name on the return, I was getting ready to read some heavy duty stuff that you normally post. Thanks anyway....Disapointed 8)

Yeah, I'm getting arthritis in my knuckles from typing long detailed responses to things that have already been covered. I've noticed David is doing the same thing recently -- we're both now pointing to the archives, because there's a large body of solid info already there...

Just messin with you. Iam sure its all posted in here somewhere. I think after reading one post, it prompted me to ask that. The last post that David was responding to on the Vegas Long render times was a lot of excellent info for me. Thanks guys.
