24P to PAL to Region 2 DVD

I am in the UK and need to shoot a documentary for a class. I dont want to use theier little handycams but Im not sure how the whole PAL thing works with 24p.

Does anyone know what type of settings i should set in Premier to go from 24PA NTSC to PAL or some format that will end up on a region 2 DVD to be viewed here.

I have a DVX100a.

if anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. in the mean time i will be doing some further research.

I suggest you shoot your NTSC how you are familiar with it and edit in the standard timeline project as you would normally.

Export finished movie.

Open a PAL project and import your movie. Export it or write it direct to DVD PAL Project. (You may need / want to rescale it a little.)

By the way you will find that most countries in the world (apart from the U.S) have DVDs that are Dual Pal/NTSC capable and will accept either . Make a DVD from your NTSC version as well.

Good luck

Why bother about Regions? No need
