Do you think If I bought a NTSC DVX100a that when I shot in Australia there would be a problem? Such as shooting 24p in a 25 p world. NTSC instead of PAL. The voltage difference?

I am still going to get G4 or G5 mac and edit on final cut pro. Does final cut pro have a converter from 24p to 25?

Re: 24p to 25p converter in FCP????

If you're working in a PAL country is there a reason not to use PAL?
Here in NTSC land some people shoot PAL to get slightly higher res and closer to film speed (25 instead of 29.97) With the DVX the res is the only real value. It's just easier to deal with everything native to the area you're working. (monitors, other video gear, etc) A lot of pro stuff can work either way.
FCP can conform 25 to 24 but it is not a standards converter. You need to use a hardware setup or special software.

DV FIlmMaker makes some and this was noted on another forum:
G Standards, a plug-in package available at www.nattress.com
