Don't think so. You can edit 24p footage, cause 24p footage is really just 60i footage. But you can't make premiere extract true 24p letting you edit on a full-frame progressive 24fps timeline. Your footage will still look fine though as long as you're ending up on an interlaced format (i.e. someone's TV)
I though PP1.5 also supported both, being a PAL user myself I had to "work" harder at setting up 25P capture on PP2 (PP1.5 I just selected the panasonic 24p preset and changed the framerate to 25, can't do that in PP2, you have to do a custom preset from scratch)
i just bought ppro1.5 and i noticed that it allows you to select 'Panasonic 24p' when starting a project. In the text beside it, it says this is meant for 24p and 24pa, but then at the bottom it says that it preforms the 2:3:3:2 pull down, which would mean that its meant for 24pa....
im a bit confused as well. So far I have just been using 24pa footage.
Using PP1.5, I set the project settings at 24pa, then captured some 24pa footage. In Barry's book it said to make sure you let the software do the pulldown (2:3:3:2) or you will get some interlacing, is this automatic?
