24p settings

I usually shoot 24pa, but shot this one in 24p. Tried various sequence settings: DV-NTSC (29.97 timebase), DV-NTSC 23:98 (29.97 timebase) DV-NTSC (23:98 timebase) and my footage still needs to be rendered when put in timeline. Does anyone have any suggestions?
thanks

This will give you a bit of a primer:

If you want to cut 24p without removing the pulldown, drop it into a 29.97 DV timeline. If you want to cut in a 23.98 timeline, the pulldown needs to be removed manually. Unlike 24pA material which can be detected and removed by FCP automatically. You would do 24p with Cinema Tools, like this:

I also show how step by step on my DVX100 DVD.

Noah - I just posted a similar thread, except that I shot in 24PA, but used the anamorphic capture setting, rather than the pulldown setting. Will FCP have detected and removed the pulldown anyway, or will I still need to use Cinema Tools to remove the pulldown? And since my footage is already edited, will doing this alter the timeline?

I have your DVD and it's a huge help and I still screwed up!
