24p Rendering

It seems that my 24p footage requires rendering after capture into a PP1.5 24p timeline. It has been a while since I've used PP1.5, and I don't remember having to render upon capture in the past. Any ideas?
 
is this DVX 24p footage?? did you remove the pulldown already, or are you using a 24p preset project (twaeks are ok to the preset but the presets are the only ones that perform 24p pulldown) ?
 
It is HVX-200 footage (tape, not P2). I tried both project presets (24p wide and 24p std, no tweaks).

Initially the footage did not need rendering (no red line). I closed the project, opened it later, and suddnely it required renderining, and the aspect ratio was wrong.

The other thing I noticed is that the footage is being conformed to a 29.97 frame rate.

Any ideas?

hmm. your project might be bad. try starting a new DV 24p project perset and just copy the sequence and files over from the old project. also you need to be sure that you used scene detect when capturing the footage so the pulldown is does right for each shot. double check that the footage was actually shot in 24p as well.
 
Yup. Already tried copying over to a new project. Still requires render. I didn't use scence detect, as what I have is one long scene. It most definitely was recorded in 24p.

This is odd indeed.
