Hello all,

My footage is a Mix Bag of 24p and 6oi
After messing up capturing footage into my FCP Using 24p Advance pulldown
I want to ask a follow up questions:

a - the corect capture setting is

"DV NTSC" IS at 29.97 fps (or DV-NTSC) setting

1 - For 24p what setting is best 4 rendering

My sequence should be set at? 23.98 FPS??
My Pull Down 3:2 is the highest quality?

2 - EXporting 24p into DVDSTUDIO 4

What is the format I should use to export Footage to
DVDSTUDIO4?

Keystone article is very confusing --

It suggest that I use QUICKTIME Movie (with default setting)
and it sayas in the same article the DVDSTUDIO pro does not treat this
out put right?

Can you all please advise?

Thanking you al in advance

Hi

I've been searching the internet for the past day.. I see conflicting answers .. Or perhaps I'm unable to interpert the answers properly.

I have been looking at all the sites.

If you have specific answers -b I would be pleased to hear it .

export movie as quicktime movie. if you uncheck the make movie self contained box the file will be a lot smaller and will just reference the existing file. then drop the file into compressor and select one of the preset dvd mpeg2 codecs. 24p footage is handled just like regular 60i :)

Thanks for your reply .. but before I get to that point .. what should my sequence rendering be set at ?

- what is the sequence rendering for thr footage ?

Isn't this in the BOOTCAMP dvd? I wonder myself as i will be using my new hvx soon and will have the same question. I'm still reviewing the dvd disc myself.

what do you mean by sequence rendering? unless youve added filters etc. your sequence should not need rendering. if rendering is required you must still be using the 24 frame timeline instead of the 30 frame for reg 24p.
