Other editing systems handle 24p and 24pA differently; some can't handle one or the other, or make you jump through hoops to use them.
Vegas is not one of those systems. From an editing point of view, Vegas treats them identically. With either, simply capture, then drop onto a 24p timeline. You will not see a difference between the two.
That said, shoot 24pA. It's the cadence made specifically for editing 24p, and there's no reason not to do it. But don't worry about it if you shoot 24p.
