I'm a noob here, so apologies if this has already been covered, but I've searched here and on google, and can only find this from another forum:

You'll never notice the difference between 24p and 25p. It's a ~4% difference in speed. The only advantage to 24p is if you're going out to film (and/or 24p DVD or similar) you won't need to adjust the audio for pitch.

To confirm, is this the case? There is no real difference in terms of teh look of 24p and 25p?

And in post production, the only thing I'll need to do is adjust pitch of audio?

Thanks

The look visually will be virtually nothing and in most cases is nothing to worry about. The audio is the only adjustment really necessary as you stated. This is probably why the DVX100 PAL only has 25P and not 24P, it wouldn't be worth having...
Your title lists NTSC vs PAL. This is were a difference comes into play as the colour systems are different.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, in addition to the color system difference between PAL and NTSC, there is also a resolution difference. PAL has slightly higher resolution of 768 by 576 while NTSC has 720 by 486 (pixels). Then again, I could be wrong here.
